First Week on Daufuskie Island, SC

We arrived at my parent's house in SC last Saturday morning around 7am after spending 12 hours in the car!
The boys were very good and are extremely excited to be here!
So far we have spent a lot of time at the pool and the beach.
We will be here for about another 2 weeks before we head back to Mendham.

Fun In Our Backyard

The summer is really flying by! (A little too quickly!!) Here are some pictures of the boys outside in the backyard playing in the pool.
Not too much else is going on. I am done with summer school this Friday but the boys still have one more week of camp left after this week. My grad school class is done next Tuesday so maybe after that I can relax!
We are heading down th Daufuskie Island, SC around Aug 1 and staying for a few weeks. The boys are really looking forward to it!

Busy Summer!

The first two weeks of our summer "vacation" have been very busy. The boys are in camp everyday from 9a-1pm and absolutely LOVE it!

I am teaching summer school for 2 hours in Mountainside while they are in camp and it is going well.

Today we cleaned up some baby gear to give to Linsday who is babysitting for a friend this summer. I remember when both boys HATED the pack and play. Now I guess they love it...

Jake's First Yankee Game

Jake and Josh went to the Subway Series Game this afternoon. (Special thanks to Pop for getting the tickets!)

Jake had a great time! His only question was why he couldn't ust go down on the field with the players! Such a cutie!!

Weekend At LBI

On Friday the boys and I drove down to my Aunt and Uncle's house on LBI. Jake was very excited to go to MeMe and Uncle Jay's house for two reasons: the pool in the backyard and the 2 boats in the lagoon!!

Train Ride to Hoboken

Yesterday was the first day of summer. My mom and I took the boys on the train to have lunch in Hoboken. Anyone who lives around here knows that on the weekends, the train takes FOREVER! We walked around the waterfront in Hoboken, had lunch outside and played a little bit in the park before coming home. The boys had a great time although Luke does still have an attitude. Grammy is worried that he is going to end up a juvenile delinquent with his temper tantrums!! :)

Here are some pics of the afternoon.

Firematics

Josh belongs to the Volunteer Fire Dept in Mendham and every year there is a Tri-County Firematics competition. Basically it's like a Field Day between about 11 fire departments.

Here are some pics of the boys while we were there.
